2. Have the skills and methods to communicate effectively with families and players
3. Recognize all the people they will be interacting with, within the organization
4. Use methods to demonstrate fair handling and productive practices
5. Understand the importance of being a role model, leader and mentor for kids
Description:
The coaches training class is designed to help volunteer coaches, both new and experienced, to communicate effectively with the families and players they will be working with throughout their season. The training program teaches excellent techniques on how to actually direct the team as well as how to communicate and treat people. These skills can eliminate many problems before they ever happen, and help reduce your programs liability. Coaches will have the confidence to run a team with an organized direction, as well as having a higher competence level to recognize everyone associated with the team and how to handle them.

Different formats of training can allow for a diversity of content. Our two programs shown above that do not include manuals or workbooks often have the largest diversity because it is not specifically teaching skills and methods, but it is delivering a theme that supports your program's standards, expectations, and philosophical message. Everyone associated with your program should be involved and informed at some level.
